Dr. T's Smoothie - A Better Beverage
Dr. T's Smoothie will replace your morning cup of coffee with an instant vital boost of concentrated vitamins and minerals that promotes energy and detoxification. In today's stressful and busy society, when there's never enough time, Dr. T's Smoothie can ensure that your body gets the nourishment it needs - fast and effective to help you stay healthy. This is especially important for supporting the immune system that is constantly fending off bacteria, viruses, environmental toxins and stress.

  • 1 cup organic soy or rice beverage
  • 1 cup filtered or spring water
  • 2 Scoops "Ultraclear/Estrobalance/Ultraglycem" - Metagenics Medical Powder
  • 1/2 to 1 cup organic apple chopped into quarters
  • 1/4 cup organic blueberries
  • 1/4 cup organic raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons organic ground flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Udo's Oil (added in the end after blending)

Optional:

  • Pinch of Stevia Extract - an herbal, sugar free sweetener
  • 1/4 teaspoon of natural vanilla extract
  1. Be sure to add the liquids before the powder and fruits.
  2. Place above ingredients in blender (minus the Udo's oil which should be added in the end).

Other fruit may be substituted if there are allergies: Banana, pineapple, strawberries, prunes.

Adzuki Oriental Salad - The Cardiovascular Cure

  • 1 cup cooked adzuki beans, drained
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (small shells, spirals or elbow macaroni)
  • 1 scallion, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, minced
  • 2 ribs celery, diced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, seeded and diced
  • 1 medium carrot, grated
  • Mix salad ingredients together and toss with Blasion Asian Dressing (see recipe).
  • Serve well chilled.

Blasion Asian Dressing - Succulent Salad Sauce

  • 1/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (honey may be substituted)
  • 6 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

Mix together and toss over salad Adzuki Oriental Salad (see recipe).
Makes 4-6 servings.

Mung - The Bean Recipe
Mung beans are very popular throughout Central Asia and are an excellent source of protein, vitamin C, A and E, along with many minerals.

  • 2 diced carrots
  • 1 and 1/2 cup of chopped onions
  • 1 cubed potato
  • 3 peeled and chopped fresh tomatoes
  • A dash of teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Hot paprika
  • A splash of walnut oil
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup of mung beans, soaked for half a day in salted water, drained
  • 1 cup of brown Basmati rice
  • A pinch of fresh cilantro
  1. Saute the onions in a large saucepan or a wok with a little vegetable oil.
  2. Add the carrots and potato and continue to saute until they just begin to brown.
  3. Add tomatoes, cumin seeds.
  4. Add paprika, salt and pepper to your liking.
  5. Add a cup and a half of boiling water to the saucepan. Let boil for a few minutes.
  6. Stir in the mung beans, reduce heat to low, cover, and cook until the beans are tender, for about forty minutes.
  7. Cook the rice in a rice maker with salt and condiments.
  8. Mix cooked rice with beans and decorate with cilantro or other spices to your liking.
